Don’t miss your chance to enrol!

You have 31 days from your start date to enrol in certain physical and financial well-being benefits.

When you’re ready to enrol, go to the Online Enrolment System (must be on the Edward Jones network).

Benefits to enrol in within 31 days

You can enrol in the following benefits within 31 days of your start date:
  • Medical and dental coverage
  • Optional Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance for you and your spouse. New hires can elect up to $50,000 for themselves without Evidence of Insurability.

If you need to enrol after your 31-day enrolment window, contact CANBenefits@edwardjones.com.

  • You will be required to provide a Health Statement to Sun Life.
  • Dental benefits are limited to $200 for the first 12 months of coverage.

You can make certain changes to your benefits if you have a qualified life event.

The amount that will be deducted from your paycheque depends on which benefits you choose and who you cover.

When your coverage begins

Benefits are effective on the first of the month following one full month of employment.

Examples:

  • If you’re hired on February 6, your benefits go into effect on April 1.
  • If you’re hired on June 1, your benefits go into effect on July 1.

Benefits you can enrol in anytime

Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)

This plan allows you to save for retirement on a pre-tax basis. The firm will match your contributions dollar for dollar, up to $500. You also may be able to contribute to a spousal RRSP.

Benefits automatically provided by Edward Jones

If you’re eligible, you’re automatically enroled in the following benefits:

  • Basic life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance
  • Short- and Long-Term1 Disability
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Tuition and adoption assistance
  • Paid time off 

1 LTD coverage is required for all full-time benefits-eligible associates. You’re automatically enroled in LTD and pay 100% of the premiums through payroll deductions.
